Assingment 20A

The first is Fernando Pinto who is a real estate developer in South Florida and an avid, experienced entrepreneur. The second is Daniel Lozano who is an information technology expert and a programmer. The last is Jorge Carnevali who has 20+ years of experience in the tech parts industry, sourcing high-tech parts to huge tech firms.
Jorge Carnevali is my supplier, Daniel Lozano is my domain expert, and Fernando Pinto is my market expert being that he himself consists of the high-income earners that I wish to target.
Fernando Pinto is my boyfriend’s father so I reached out and told him that I had an idea about a business I would like to start but that I wanted a bit of feedback on what I had so far. Daniel Lozano is my first cousin who has his own IT business in Colombia and whom I asked to skype with me about a business venture I wanted him to get in on. Jorge Carnevali is my best friend’s dad who has worked in software and tech sourcing his whole life. I told him just like the rest, if I could have twenty minutes of his time to pitch him an idea to see if he thought it would be feasible. They all agreed.
My conversations with all three individuals were very different but very eye-opening at the same time. Fernando had some massive insight on the things I could focus on but he also said that the venture was very expensive to be my first business and that I really had to focus on where I could find this type of capital. He gave me a couple of venture capitalists’ contact information and said that he worked very closely with them. He also told me that the ideas were very interesting and that in reality there was a spark in there somewhere but that the idea needed to be refined and take on one specific thing before it expanded to complete house remodeling. Daniel told me that it is completely doable from an information technology perspective to link everything up but that it would depend heavily on the type of connection we could establish between the different types of changes I was trying to implement like a recyclable garbage and electric compost. We would have to make them from scratch to be able to connect them all.
Jorge Carnevali told me that my idea didn’t require sourcing of these entities as a whole per say but that I should get together with an engineer to see if I can make these from scratch to establish a connection. He didn’t like the idea much and told me it might be too complicated and a bit much to take on. I asked all three if they had any pointers on my pitch or presentation of the idea that I could work on and they all said that I executed it nicely but that since I didn’t have the skillset required to speak much to its feasibility as a product this might scare investors or others away from the idea because I couldn’t fully put my weight behind it so how could they.
All of these people will enhance my opportunities because they are all very well connected people within the industry that now see me as someone to look out for, with creative ideas, and a bright future ahead of herself. I am now on their radar and when I come back with more refined ideas they know that I am not messing around.
This experience differed from network experiences in the past because I was familiar with all of them, it wasn’t random people that I was pitching my ideas to.
