Assignment 11A


I am the type of person that looks toward the future. You cannot focus an idea on the current needs of society because needs just like everything else, especially with luxury items, are everchanging. My talents are that I am an analytical people person. I see an idea and I love to challenge myself to analytically bring it to fruition. I am also responsible, dedicated, curious, and innovative. All of these qualities are essential in an entrepreneur and will help me to develop my business concepts to come. I wish to be someone who grows a business and then sells it once its developed and then with that money begin to invest elsewhere.
What I am offering to customers is not only a luxurious, tech-savvy lifestyle but also a solution or a simple relief to a future problem. Global warming is very real and its consequences are years away from becoming very impacting on our everyday lives. If we collectively as a whole begin to cramp down on our carbon dioxide emissions and our carbon footprint and the amount of energy and fossil fuels we consume then maybe we can dilute that impact, but we cannot begin to collectively fix things if we cannot individually fix our behaviors but people are too busy with their own routine and everyday worries, stresses, and overall life to worry about also being green. 
Green Smart Systems will allow you to act in a green way without having to worry about changing habits or stressing about it, while also making your normal day-to-day more luxurious, and your home even more spectacular than it already is. It will do all of this by creating a smart home that is essentially green in nature and that turns your otherwise non-environmentally friendly habits into green consequences.
My solution is valuable because of the fact that these problems will effect everyone, without discriminating. No matter who you are global warming will eventually effect you if we do not do something about it. The type of customer that I am targeting is someone ranging from middle-high, to high class that have the type of money to invest in luxury as well. We come from a very materialistic society and the wealthiest are those with the largest carbon footprint therefore if we provide a solution and pose it as a luxurious plus, that also saves them money in the long-run on utilities and energy.
What sets my idea apart from the others is the fact that it is a green version of a smart house, focused not only on efficiency but on making the whole household environmentally friendly. Our technologies are integrated in ways that promote environmentally friendly outcomes.
Like all business concepts in their early stages there are aspects of my business concept that are weaker than others. For example I have thought about offering the option of selling the technology by parts for those that can’t afford it. There is also the fact that I am very limited in my market and target audience due to the fact that I am trying to supply or create a need within a very specific group of people. My customers need to be looking to enhance their living and their homes, while also being conscious of the world around us.
